As a school leaver, I ventured south to the University of Waikato, where I studied a Bachelor of Communication Studies. I met my husband at university, and upon graduating joined him in the Bay of Plenty and began my career as a copywriter and photographer for a tourism marketing agency in Mount Maunganui. We both returned to Hamilton, where I spent five years as a public relations and marketing coordinator at the University of Waikato.
Family ties brought me back to Whangarei where I spent nearly four years as the marketing coordinator for innovative construction company, Donovan Group.
Carmichael Creative was created after parental leave with my eldest son. Now as a Mum of two boys, the company allows me to do what I enjoy while being there for my young family.
